Camu camu (Myrciaria dubia H.B K.) belongs to the Myrtaceae family, a wild shrubby fruit tree from the Peruvian Amazon. In Peru, this fruit is found on the banks of the Ucayali, Marañón, Napo, Tigre, Curaray, Yavarí and Tahuayo valleys.
